An authentic Chinese traditional pharmacy from Macao, dating from the end of the 19th century. It was located at Rua 5 de Outubro and was in operation until 1998.
The pharmacy ensemble is composed of lacquered wood cabinets with the identification of the pharmacy’s name, with arches and panels in exotic wood, ancient gilded woodcarvings representing deers, birds, leaves and flowers. In the central panel, there is a representation of a doctor and a pharmacist attending patients at the pharmacy. And also the inscriptions: Ophthalmologist / Pharmacy specializing in pills, powders, ointments and eye drops / Stores and imports medications.
